A Dazzling Conclusion to Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2025/26 season officially came to an end, wrapping up a two-month-long marathon. During this time, we witnessed dozens of original, bold, classic, and incredibly nostalgic collections presented by designers on the runways.
One of the most striking moments was the final day of Paris Fashion Week, culminating in Anthony Vaccarello’s show for Saint Laurent. For several seasons now, the designer has made it his mission to reinterpret the codes of the fashion house and honor the designs of Yves Saint Laurent himself.
This time, the aesthetics of power dressing took center stage, with exaggeratedly wide shoulders, slightly cinched waists, and knee-length cuts. The collection sought to reflect what a Saint Laurent woman truly embodies—bold, strong, and confident.
“Instead of speaking through ornamentation or lining, I chose to shape the clothes through fabrics and a precise cut. Clean shapes and volumes were born thanks to construction and silhouette,” said Vaccarello in the show notes.
Models strutted down an onyx runway, set against digital screens with warm marble images. The show began with minimalist looks in highly saturated hues, inspired by the ’80s. Mandarin jackets cinched with purple ribbons, fuchsia variations, emerald and light grass-green dresses, or outfits with contrasting red blouses and orange pencil skirts formed the backbone of the collection.
In addition to the shades and sharp shapes, Anthony Vaccarello experimented with striking materials: floral and animal print dresses were enhanced with a glossy silicone coating, turtlenecks and skirts were covered in lace, and elongated bombers were perfected with bright multicolored leather.
The show concluded with several sculptural looks that embodied the contrast between femininity and masculinity, thanks to oversized turtlenecks, grunge bombers, and voluminous skirts with a low waist and a bow-shaped belt.
